“The Sergeant” is Remington's smallest and one of his most commercially successful sculptures. The Sergeant Remington simply as "Bust of Rough Rider Sergeant" copyrighted the Sergeant, completed in 1904. Perched on a square base, one of the smallest bronzes that Remington sculpted, the portrait is that of a seasoned soldier with an almost kindly expression. This beautiful hand crafted sculpture is cast in the purest American bronze bearing Remington's signature on the bronze. 11" tall and 4" wide. This reproduction was cast most likely in the 1950's or 60's, it is signed in the casting on the sculpture and Marked 36/100. Green marble base.
